Sibling Pancake Party
By Zoe Miller
Some of the siblings from the East Lincolnshire Down’s Syndrome Family Support Group went to the Design Studio to have a pancake party!
Firstly, we decorated paper people where we used lots of materials like glue, glitter, stickers, pens and paint to make a person. We made all kinds of people.
Afterwards, we had a delicious lunch of ham or cheese sandwiches, oranges, yoghurt, crisps and chocolate bars. It was very nice!
Then we made individual 3D objects like hearts we could hang up, dinosaurs, boxes, pencil cases, piggy banks and more!
After that was one of the best parts about the day – we decorated pancakes with yummy icing, sauces and yummy treats like jellies, choc chips (white chocolate and milk chocolate), skittles, marshmallows and blocks of KitKat. All our pancakes were delicious, crazy, and filling!
It was important because the siblings got a fun chance to bond with one another while doing fun things that were delicious and amazing!!
